Core Process Psychotherapy

Core Process Psychotherapy

A safe space for you to explore what is present in the moment using a mindfulness-based approach. At your own pace I will help you to bring awareness to your experiences and start your own healing journey of change and transformation.

Hello,

AnaCorral Core Process Psychotherapy Bristol and Chilcompton

I wanted to give you a warm welcome and acknowledge your effort in taking this first step.

It is not easy to start therapy; overcoming any fear you may feel, where to search, which therapist to choose…

I would like to invite you to stop for a moment.
Close your eyes slowly.
Take a deep breath.
How do you feel
Where in your body do you feel it?

Sometimes life presents us with difficulties that can leave our world upside down. We can end up feeling anxious, depressed, angry, frustrated… Sometimes we just experience a lack of meaning and can’t connect with the life force that makes us feel alive.

My practice is Core Process Psychotherapy, a mindfulness based approach that slowly helps you to get in touch with your body. In our sessions I will bring awareness to your body by asking you what you feel and where you feel it. With this practice you will get used to checking that yourself. What body sensations some people or dynamics make you feel; it could be tension in your back, feeling out of breath, not being able to speak when you want to, feeling paralysed… by exploring those body sensations you will learn to process feelings in your body instead of going in circles in your head.

And together we will find ways to release that energy that gets stuck in your body and process whatever needs to be processed.

Core Process Psychotherapy

A a mindfulness-based approach to therapy that emphasises a deep, ongoing awareness of one’s body and mental processes for self-exploration and healing. Therapy is often viewed as a joint undertaking in which the therapist accompanies the individual on a journey into the deepest levels of his or her experiences.

The therapist serves as a facilitator, helping the individual focus attention inward and become aware of what he or she is experiencing in the present moment. Through this contemplative self-study, individuals may discover the historical roots of their problems and achieve a clearer sense of who they are. As they process this information in the present, they will gradually begin to let go of old habits and approach life with greater creativity and flexibility.

How does therapy work?

I offer an initial 30 minutes free session which is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and decide if we want to work together.

After this, we will take time to process and decide how we want to move forward. You are invited to discuss your progress and your views of our work together at any time. We will seek to establish a regular weekly time for our work where possible.

I am a registered UKCP and ACPP trainee psychotherapist and all my work in supervised according to professional and ethical requirements. This means I discuss my work with a qualified registered supervisor, and in this process your identity is protected.

I charge £40 for an hour session.
